This marks not only a fresh beginning, but a powerful one: both brands will remain 100% Canadian owned and operated. It’s a new chapter for two beloved fashion brands with deep roots in this country — Ricki’s with over 85 years and Cleo with over 45 years of history — built on decades of style, connection, and community. This isn’t just a win for us. It’s a win for Canadian retail. In recent years, we faced the most difficult chapter in our journey. Like many Canadian retailers, we experienced significant disruption —from the pandemic to shifting consumer behaviours and an unpredictable economy. Earlier this year, we entered CCAA protection in order to restructure and preserve the brands Canadian women love. To some, that filing may have looked like failure. But to us, it was a promise. A decision to fight for our future — and for you.
